Data & Dashboarding Engineer
- On-site
- Apeldoorn, Gelderland, Netherlands
- €2,900 - €5,000 per month
Job description
Do you enjoy working with data that directly impacts pricing, campaigns, and operations in 15+ European markets? And do you want to build dashboards and insights that are truly used? Then we are looking for you!
Your role
At Knivesandtools, we make decisions based on data. Every day. From commercial campaigns and pricing to workforce planning in our warehouse. As a Data & Dashboarding Engineer, you are the owner of data and data quality within Knivesandtools. You translate raw data into usable information and PowerBI dashboards that teams use to manage their performance. You support analyses that lead to concrete actions and better decisions.
You are stepping in at a crucial moment. This coming year, we are building one scalable and future-proof data and reporting environment. Fewer separate sources, more structure. Less gut feeling, more data-driven choices. We are moving from Power BI to one dominant e-commerce data warehouse and one programming language. You play a central role in this. You work closely with:
the IT team (lots of in-house knowledge): for data engineering and structure
the Pricing specialist: for data and analyses in the pricing area
the Business Controller as a link to the business
What you make visible today can have an impact tomorrow.
What you will do (without complicated stuff)
Collecting data
You collect and structure data from various sources (such as Netsuite, Peoplevox, and our own CCC database/data warehouse) and verify its accuracy. You think about structure, modeling, and monitoring.
Organizing data smarter
Together with IT, you work on a scalable and efficient data and reporting environment. You automate reports and data flows (possibly with AI applications) to reduce manual analyses and deepen insights.
Building dashboards that are used
You develop and maintain self-service Power BI dashboards at a strategic, tactical, and operational level, giving teams direct insight into their performance.
Making data understandable
You translate complex data into clear insights that colleagues can immediately work with. Especially for the CFO, Finance, IT, Business Controller, and pricing specialist.
Data governance
You contribute to data governance by setting up data quality monitoring, structuring, and testing the reliability of information.
What this role offers you
Direct influence on how we make decisions within Knivesandtools
Plenty of room to shape dashboards and analyses yourself
Working with large amounts of data (19,000+ products, 11 categories, annually 400,000 orders to over 30 countries)
Collaborating in an entrepreneurial company with an open culture
Growing with both the organization and your own development
